How To Remove a Sample From a Well Plate In Transnetyx Colony Without Clearing The Plate
While placing genotyping orders within the Colony software, users may need to remove a sample from the plate. The software allows users to double click on any plated sample to remove that sample from the plate. The sample can then be re-plated in its correct position or can be omitted from the order.
To effectively utilize the AMI Colony Evaluation Tool, start by clicking the AMI tab on the left-hand navigation bar and selecting "Colony Evaluation." Choose the strains for evaluation, set your cage consolidation filters, and adjust breeder warnings settings before clicking “Get Data.”
The tool's assessment screen provides a color-coded summary: green bars indicate no inefficiencies, while yellow bars suggest potential improvements. Detailed evaluations are accessible by clicking on each strain, offering insights into colony stats, production efficiency, litter evaluations, and sex ratios. For strains with yellow bars, specific improvement actions are suggested, such as addressing non-productive females or consolidating cages, which can be managed directly from the tool’s interface.
