Transnetyx Appoints Yanase as North American Sales Manager
MEMPHIS, Tenn. – June 23, 2011 – Transnetyx, a genetic diagnostics company, today announced the appointment of Ryan Yanase to North American Sales Manager. In this role, Yanase is responsible for leading sales initiatives of the company’s genotyping services and overseeing the activities of the company’s North American-based sales force. He is based in San Diego and will report to Transnetyx President, Robert Bean.
“Since joining our company in 2004, Ryan has developed a vast understanding of our automated genotyping process,” said Bean. “This, coupled with his expertise in sales, business development and project management, will strengthen our impact in the biotechnology and medical sectors across North America.”
Yanase has held several positions with Transnetyx, including his most recent role as Western Sales Manager, where he was responsible for leading sales initiatives to research laboratories at nonprofit and academic research institutions in the western half of the United States and Canada. Additionally, he’s served as a consultant and Product Manager, where he assisted with trade show planning and new business development, as well as the development and maintenance of company procedures including accounting, inventory management, customer service and marketing.
Prior to joining Transnetyx, Yanase held positions in the educational management and financial services industries. He received a bachelor’s degree from the College of Business Administration at the University of Tennessee located in Knoxville, Tenn.
